A second look
Karri, these posts since last thursday are amazing... today i have my brush out looking for bones and broken pottery.hks
Well, Harry, if you venture down La Brea, don't forget your knee pads...And if you don't want to be let in on the secret of these last two pieces, stop reading now. Otherwise, there's actual writing behind them, if you can belive it. I cut out some magazines with solutions tocrossword puzzles printed on them (real block-letter writing by real people), laid them on my desk, and took a picture of the lot with my cell phone. The rest is the photo editor working. Now, here's the question for ages (and for you, too): Can I reproduce it? Can Icopy myself? Definitely unexcavated territory in digital land. The thing is, most of the stuff here at BoB stems from the notion that the Finnish word for "to write" originally meant "to make patterns by drawing, cutting, or stitching" on all kinds of analogue platforms, such as wood, leather, and cloth. So, whatever I'm doing hereis, I think, legit and gets a nod from those who drew/cut/stitched before me.Anyway, I glad there's somebody who digs my digs!
